Energy Efficient Rowhome Rebuild with Revision Architects

This project was chosen to be one of 5 projects included on the AIA home tour 2025.

The complete rebuild of a Fairmount, Philadelphia rowhome features innovative design elements that enhance both light and functionality. A large bank of skylights floods the interior on all three floors with diffuse light thanks to an open winding steel stair and the glass floors that make up the majority of the access path at the buildings center. The stair wall is adorned with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, maximizing storage while creating a striking architectural feature. The home is fully electric, with a solar hot water heating array on the roof, a heat pump hot water heater backup, and radiant floor heating throughout, ensuring energy efficiency and sustainable comfort.
